Imran Khan is the current Prime Minister of Pakistan, a position he has held since 2018. Before he was elected Prime Minister, Khan was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007 and again from 2013 to 2018. He also served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre from 2004 to 2014.

Khan was born in 1952 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He received his early education at Aitchison College and the Cathedral School in Lahore. He then attended Keble College, Oxford, where he studied for a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. After graduating from Oxford, Khan played cricket for Pakistan from 1971 to 1992. He also captained the Pakistani cricket team from 1982 to 1992.

Khan retired from cricket in 1992 and founded the Imran Khan Foundation, a charitable organization that provides health care and education to needy people in Pakistan. In 1996, he established Namal College, an institution of higher learning in Mianwali District, Punjab Province. In April 2018, Khan was elected as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan by the National Assembly.
