ICC WT20 Warm-up Matches, 2022

Match 11 was a thriller. Colombia looked to have taken the lead with a boundary after a tight run-out, but South Africa fought back with vigor.  Both teams were in desperate need of a win, and the crowd was on their feet.

was a tight affair, with all the teams striving for wickets. England was looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table, as Bangladesh’s batting line-up looked to put them under pressure. They started the innings brightly, with Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza scoring a quickfire fifty, but then their batting fell apart, and they were all out for 151 in the 46th over. This left England needing 133 runs to win with six wickets in hand.

: South Africa 227-7 (50 overs) Denesh Ramdin won the toss and elected to field first. JP Duminy was the first player to be dismissed for 41, caught behind by Quinton de Kock off the bowling of Morne Morkel. Hashim Amla top-scored for the hosts with 119 before he was run out by Temba Bavuma for a duck. Richie Samuels (2-19) was the most successful bowler for the tourists.

was a thriller. In the first 10 overs, South Africa had lost wickets at regular intervals and were 193 for 8. However, in the last over, Quinton de Kock hit Shimron Hetmyer for a six-over long-off, which brought up the required rate. The bowlers had been resting all this time and were tiring, so the passage of the ball was crucial.

: England square-drove Pakistan for 194, but Fakhar Zaman's unbeaten 51 took the hosts to their seventh victory in 10 matches against their fellow Test-playing nation. As expected, England's set pieces were crucial, with Jason Roy smashing two penalties and Tom Curran landing one from 12 yards. However, Pakistan's fielding was exemplary, with Azhar Ali making three crucial run-outs and Mohammad Amir getting the better of Jonny Bairstow at short leg.
